The picnic day at Angle Park scheduled for 7th February 2010 was postponed due to bad weather.

It has been rescheduled for Sunday 21st March at the same location with a slight difference.

How about bringing your Grandchildren with you or get their parents to come with the children. If too young to have grandchildren why not bring someone elses?

ALL HOLDEN DISPLAY DAY (Club Run) - 5th August 2007
Once again held at Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Rd., Clarendon, NSW.
This show had more than 600 cars displayed last year and is always a great day.
Entry is by Form only. Cost is $38.50 with Goodie Bag for entries lodged before 6th July. Entries lodged before 27th July cost $45.00 with a Goodie Bag and entry on the day is $45.00 without a Goodie Bag. Each passenger incurs an entry of $5.00.
Get in early for the best deal. Entry fee includes entry to the Swap Meet held in conjunction with the Display and kicks off at 6.00AM on the day. If you need an Entry Form, please get in touch with Ian O'Donnell.

CMC DISPLAY DAY (Club Run) - 26th August 2007
The annual CMC Display Day is held at Eastern Creek Raceway, Eastern Creek, NSW.
Our Club attends this Event each year.
There will be approximately 1500/1700 Classic Vehicles on display, and the content is diverse.
If you are not displaying a car, come along anyway and look around and join your fellow Club Members for a chat.
There are rides around the track on buses from the Bus Museum. They usually provide a variety of buses from the old days and a donation of a gold coin will buy you a ticket.
Each Club Member gets to drive a lap of the circuit in their Classic Car, but at normal speed, at an allocated time during the day. There is on site parking for the general public at a cost of $10.00 per adult.
If you intend to display your car, you will need an Entry Card available from David McMurray at a cost of $10.00 per car displayed.

LUGARNO FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW (Club Run) - 16th September 2007
Located at Gannons Park, Lugarno. 9AM. Start.
This is an authorised event for those Members not attending the Mid West Run.
Our Club has attended past Events and the Festival is located in a very nice spot in Southern Sydney.
There is Entertainment, Market Stalls, Food Stalls and Prizes; in fact something for the whole family.
Entry is via Boatwright Ave., Lugarno. No Entry Form is needed, just roll up on the day. However there is an Entry Charge of $5.00 for each car displayed.

MID WESTERN RUN (Club Run) - 23rd September 2007
Mid Western Run, 23-29th September 2007, staying at Orange, Dubbo and Mudgee.
The group going are all seasoned travellers with the Club.
I can assure you that you will enjoy their company, even if it your first time away with the Club.
To date approximately 7 cars are booked.
An updated Glove Box Telephone Reference Book will be available, to-gether with an Itinerary prior to departure. There is no compulsion to follow the Itinerary which is a guide to help organize the days. Feel free to go and explore any points of interest which may attract you at any time.
So come if you are able and enjoy a few days break in the Old Time Touring style.

HORNSBY FAIR (Club Run) - 23rd September 2007
Hornsby Fair is located in Fagin Park, Galston NSW.
This Event is an authorised Club Run for those not attending the Central West Run
An excellent event featuring Bush Bands, Sheep Shearing, Arts and Craft Stalls, Kids Shows; in fact plenty of Entertainment for all the family
Fagin Park is a lovely location and there is plenty to see in its own right.
An Entry Form is required and needs to be submitted to the Organisers prior to the Event if you intend displaying your Car. Please contact Events Director Ian O'Donnell, if you require an Entry Form.
We will meet at MacDonalds, Round Corner, Dural, NSW.at 9AM. for a 9.30AM start.

HISTORIC HOUSES OF PARRAMATTA TOUR. (Club Run) - 14th October 2007
Our run this Month is a Tour of Two of the most important Homesteads in Parramatta, in fact in all of New South Wales.
We meet at Elizabeth Farm located at 70 Alice Street, Harris Park, NSW at 10.00 AM. for the tour commencing at 10.30AM. We will be shown through the home of John and Elizabeth McArthur. The tour will run for approximately one hour, after which we can have lunch in the grounds. There is a Kiosk on site. but it is advisable to bring your own.
Just a short drive (or walk) down Alice Street is our Second Tour of the Day, Experiment Farm Cottage. Agricultural and Farming Research was carried out on this Site to ascertain the sustainability of the new Colony of New South Wales. This Tour commences at 1.00PM.
Cost for the Day includes:
Elizabeth Farm Tour, $8.00 per Adult, $4.00 Concession or $17.00 per Family ( 2 Adults, 2 Children)
Experiment Farm Cottage: $4.00 each if our Group is 15 People or more.
This should be an interesting day out, so come along and enjoy an insight into Australia'a formative years.

HISTORIC CONDITIONAL PLATED CARS INSPECTION DAY (Club Run) - 10th November 2007
This day is only for Conditional Club Plated Vehicles. All of those Vehicles associated with our Club are required to attend. If, for some reason you can't attend, please make arrangements prior to this Date with Simon Morris ( Conditional Plate Registrar ) and Bryan Horne ( Club Inspector).
As in the past few years, Trivett Classic has made its Workshop available to us, thanks again to Troy McMurray.
Arrival time is 1.30 PM.
Inspections commence at 2.00 PM.
Please bring your Registration Papers, Insurance Policy and Club Membership Renewal and Fees.
Trivett Classic Workshop is located in Tramway Street, Camellia ( Parramatta ) with entry via River Road West.
Any of our Members are welcomr to attend if they wish.

48 & FJ HOLDEN OWNERS CLUB NSW 29TH ANNUAL DISPLAY DAY (Club Run) - 25th November 2007
This is the Club's biggest Display of the Year. It celebrates the release of Holden in Australia.
Once again we have secured Burwood Park, Burwood NSW for this event courtesy of Burwood City Council.
The Day is open to all Members of Holden Clubs and Members of the Public alike who own Grey Motored Holdens ( Stock ), or whose Holden was originally powered by a Grey Motor. ( Modified). Models include 48-215 & FJ's through to EJ's.
Food and Drink will be available.
Entry on the Day is a $2.00 Gold Coin Donation which is given to the local Lions Club to assist their Charities.
Entry is via Comer Street, Burwood and Marshalls will direct you to your Display Spot
A Club Fundraising Guessing Competition is held on the Day
Trophies will be awarded in various Categories and are Judged by your Peers
The Park is close to the centre of Burwood Shopping Centre and all facilities of Westfield are available as well as the local Shops. You can also view the sights that Burwood has to offer.
Burwood is close to the Geographic Centre of Sydney.

Our first Run for the New Year is the Annual Motorfest sponsored by NRMA. Location : Central Sydney NSW.
Park your Car and the Day is yours to enjoy. Relax, or enjoy the Entertainment which goes all day; Hit the shops or go down to the Harbour. Maybe a Cruise is your go, or perhaps a Movie?

This Event usually sees a number of our Country Members in attendance and it is an ideal time for a Yarn.

MUSEUM OF FIRE, PENRITH (Club Run) - 17th February 2008
Our run this month takes us to the Museum of Fire.
The Museum has a varied and interesting display of Fire Engines, Fire Fighting Equipment and Associated Gear, some being over 100 years old.
The Museum is located in Museum Drive, off Castlereagh Road, Penrith, NSW.
Meet at the Museum at 9.30 AM for a 10.00 AM Guided Tour.
There must be a Group of 15 to qualify for a Guided Tour. Cost for Tour is $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children. If we are unable to muster a minimum of 15 Members, Family and Friends, then the Museum is unable to provide a Guide and the entry charge will increase slightly.
After the Museum Visit, we will take a five minute drive to Tench Reserve, Tench Road, Penrith on the banks of the Nepean River for a BBQ lunch. Bring along your Steaks, Sausages and Salad etc and the Club will provide a Barbeque.
We hope to see you on the Day.

WINGS OVER ILLAWARRA (Club Run) - 8th March 2008
The Historic Aircraft Museum has invited us to this Day, to be held at the Albion Park Regional Airport.
Along with Static Displays of Aircraft and Military Memorabillia, many Planes will be flying. Those on display and in action include both Commercial and Military Aircraft as well as Skydiving and Parachuting Jumps.
Bring along your own chairs, and, even though there will be Food Outlets, it is advisable to bring your Picnic Lunch. Otherwise we are advised that Food Queues could be quite long.
Meet at "Uncle Leo's" Truck Stop at Glenfield NSW.; located on Campbelltown Road just down from "The Crossroads" intersection. Meeting time is 7.00 AM for a 7.30 AM Start, as we must be at the Airport and set up in our required Position by 9.00 AM at the latest.
The Airport is located at Boomerang Ave., Albion Park Rail NSW.
Note, this run is on a Saturday.

WAGGA WAGGA RALLY (Club Run) - 6th June 2008
This is a Weekend Away Run, covering 6th June to 9th June 2008 inclusive.
We really look forward to this Weekend every year.
This is the 41st Rally that the Wagga Wagga Veteren and Vintage Motor Club Inc. has organised and is very well run.
We have 12 Cars entered this year. Pam has booked rooms at our usual Motel where the Hosts know how to look after us.
This is our 4th Year of participation. We started with 6 Cars and each year our Entry List grows. The original Member Participants are attending and that shows what an enjoyable Weekend it is.
We will meet at the Service Centre at Pheasants Nest on the M5 Freeway just past the Picton Turnoff at 9.00AM for a 9.30AM Start.
For the Members not attending, there will be an alternate run arranged in June and advised shortly.

This is the Alternate Run for Members unable to attend the Club's Wagga Wagga Run.
This will be a relaxing Social Day at Parramatta Lakes Reserve, North Parramatta NSW for all your Family and Friends. During the course of the day, a Game of Backyard Cricket has be organised which should be great fun.
Bring your Picnic Hamper or Barbeque and catch up with fellow Members.
This is a day to enjoy.

Club Trivia Night. (Club Run) - 12th July 2008
The Annual Trivia Night is on again at the Guildford Bowling Club.
The Club is located on cnr Bursill Street and Railway Terrace, Guildford, NSW.
Please bring your Family and Friends, but the Tables are limited to a maximum of eight People.
Should you have a surplus of Friends or Family, there will be plenty of Tables and as our Members are a friendly bunch, you will fit right in should you need to find space. But remember, only eight to a table!
The Club has full Bistro and Bar Facilities should you wish to Dine; the Bistro opens at 6.30PM.
The Funds raised this year will go directly to assisting our Club with it's Display celebrating Holden's 60th Year at the CMC Display Day, Eastern Creek.
The Night starts promptly at 7.30PM in the Function Room and entry is $10.00 each.

Club Members please note that we are seeking donations to the Monster Raffle to be held on the night, so even if you can't attend, all donations of prizes will help.
We are seeking small gifts with a value of no more than a few dollars.
These may be given to Ian Young at the June General Meeting or may be broiught on the night and left at the Prize Table.
This always proves to be a Fun Raffle and a Good Fund Raiser. Tickets will be available on the night at a cost of 3 for $2.00.

All Holden Day (Club Run) - 3rd August 2008
All Holden Day has rolled around again.
The Display is located at Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon, NSW and entry is from 6.00AM.
There is a Swap Meet conducted in association with the Display on both Saturday and Sunday and entry is $6.00 each. If you are entering a vehicle in the Display on Sunday, the Driver's entry is covered but each Adult Passenger will incur an Entry of $5.00.
This year, Holden celebrates its 60th Anniversary and there will be a Special Display
organised by the AHD Committee.
They are also hoping to break last years entry list of some 600 Vehicles.

This is a special day for the Club. Holden is celebrating its 60th Year in 2008 and of course, our much loved 48-215 Holden is also celebrating the 60th Year of its release.
The Club will be holding a very special Display in the Garages in Pitt Lane to acknowledge these significant milestones. Pop in and say "Hello" and have a look at the Club staged Event.

NORMAN LINDSAY GALLERY (Club Run) - 21st September 2008
This month our run is a little different.
We will be taking a lovely Spring drive to the Blue Mountains to the suburb of Faulconbridge to see the delights of the Norman Lindsay Gallery. There is plenty of parking both on site and in the street. There is a picnic area for those taking lunch or there is a cafe for those wishing to go upmarket.
The Gallery is very interesting and celebrates the life of one of Australia's most known artists. His studio has been left just as he last used it.
Entry is :
Adults $9.00 each
Concession $6.00 each.
Children $4.00 each.
Family $24.00
Provided we can make up a group of 30 or more, the Adult cost will reduce to $6.00 each and Concession will reduce to $5.00 each.

AUSTRALIAN REPTILE PARK, SOMERSBY NSW (Club Run) - 19th October 2008
The Australian Reptile Park is a fun and entertaining wildlife sanctuary. It was established in 1958 by the late Frank Worrell. The park is the only venue in Australia which provides the opportunity for people to hold non-venomous Snakes, touch Alligators and Koalas, and also watch venom extraction from Spiders and Snakes.

Entry to Park is:
Adults $22.50
Children 3 -15 years $11.50
Concession $15.00

If we have a group of 15 or more then the following cost applies:

We will meet at McDonalds, Thornleigh. Turn left off Pennant Hills Road into Parkes Street; then right into Central Avenue and proceed to McDonalds Carpark. Arrive at 8.30AM for a 9.00AM start.

Club Plate Inspection Day (Club Run) - 8th November 2008
Club Plate Inspection Day is the day the club inspects all vehicles on the Conditional Plate Registration Scheme.
Essentially the day is for owners of vehicles on the Conditional Registration Scheme, but all members are welcome to attend.
This year the inspection will take place under the bridge at Silverwater.
If driving from the M4 end of Silverwater Road, turn right at the last set of lights before the bridge; there is an arrow. From Victoria Road side of Silverwater Road, turn left at first set of lights immediately after the bridge.
Please remember to bring all your paperwork and also your membership fee. The club's Eligibility Form will not be issued unless membership is paid.

Celebrating 60 Years of Holden.
The 48 & FJ Holden Owners Club (NSW) Inc invites all Owners of 48-215's through to EJ Holdens (Unmodified and Modified) to join us in a Display on Sunday, 23rd November 2008.
Display starts at 9.00AM. (arriving from 8.00AM)
Venue: Burwood Park, Burwood Road, Burwood, NSW.
(entry via Comer Street - Club Members will be available to guide you)
Admission: $2.00 Gold Coin Donation.
Trophies will be awarded on the day. Voting by your Peers.
Raffles will be drawn on the day.

As usual the Christmas Luncheon will be held in the Chinese Restaurant at Blacktown RSL Club.
The Club is located in Second Ave Blacktown NSW off Sunnyholt Road. Luncheon will be available from 12.00 PM. Cost is $11.50 and Seniors Cards are accepted.

Elvis Presley Festival, Parkes, NSW (Club Run) - 6th January 2009
The Elvis Presley Festival is renowned in NSW as a fun festival, which is growing in popularity year by year.
The Club is booked into the Comfort Inn, Forbes, NSW from 6th January until 11th January 2009. The return trip will be via Cowra where we will be staying overnight at the Aalana Motor Inn before returning to Sydney on 12th January 2009.
There is one room left if anyone would like to join us.

NRMA Motorfest (Club Run) - 26th January 2009
NRMA Motorfest is an annual motoring event and is held in the heart of Sydney.
For club members, this is the alternative run for those not attending the Parkes run.
Members who entered previously will have already received their entry forms. Ian Young has spare forms and they will need to be completed and returned to the Rally Organiser as soon as possible as the cut off for entries is 1000. Closing date for entries is 07.11.08 or when the quota is reached.
Prospect Reservoir, Prospect NSW (Club Run) - 8th February 2009
This run takes in Prospect Reservoir located at Prospect in Sydney's west.
Bring a picnic lunch and a rug; relax and have a chat.
Bring along your photos and stories of the Parkes Elvis event to share.
A short run just for fun!

This will be considered the alternative run for anyone not going to the Highlands Steam And Vintage Fair over 20-22nd February 2009.

HIGHLANDS STEAM AND VINTAGE FAIR, OBERON NSW (Club Run) - 20th February 2009
Highlands Steam and Vintage Fair will take place during the weekend of 20-22 February 2009 in conjunction with 109th Oberon Show.
This will be the Club's first run to Oberon.
This is the first of a planned annual event and promises to be really interesting. The Event will take place over three days commencing Friday 20th February 2009 and feature road runs throughtout the Oberon Shire, a grand parade on Saturday, with demonstrations and competitions on all days.
The Event will feature steam traction engines, stationery engines, classic tractors, trucks, cars, bikes and displays of all types of individual collections.
Competitions will include tractor pulls, beam balances, slow races, and ploughing. Demonstrations of heritage farm implements will be undertaken at various times during the weekend.
Static displays are also a feature.
The show will feature bull riding, dog trials, prime sheep and beef, arts and crafts and all the fun of a traditional country show.
An event dinner and trophy presentation will take place on the Saturday Night.
This club has 12 vehicles going so far and accomodation has been arranged at Big Trout Motor Inn at Oberon.
We will meet at the Service Centre on the M4 at Eastern Creek on Friday morning 20th at 7.30AM for an 8.00AM departure.
Note. All members of the public are invited to the Fair.

TRAMWAY MUSEUM LOFTUS (Club Run) - 22nd March 2009
The Club went to the Tramway Museum 5 years ago. The museum is constantly evolving so there will be plenty to see and do.
Members who do not live in Western Sydney are requested to meet at the Museum.The rest of the Club will meet at Parramatta McDonalds, cnr Church St and Victoria Road for a 9.00AM start.
The museum is located at Loftus on Rawson Ave, formerly the Princes Highway.
Museum entry is $13.00 Adult Concession/Senior $8.00.
Afterwards we will have lunch at Ramsgate RSL.

An annual display for all GM vehicles from Australia, USA and UK.
Gates open at 8.00AM. Entry is $8.00 per vehicle and it would be appreciated if correct money was tendered.
Display at Penrith Panthers Leagues Club, Mulgoa Road, Penrith, NSW.

WAGGA WAGGA RALLY (Club Run) - 5th June 2009
This weekend has become a tradition for the Club and we always look forward to it.
This is the fifth year we have attended and our group grows bigger as more hear about the good times to be had.
The Wagga Wagga Veteran & Vintage Motor Club has presented this event for 42 years, so it is very well organised.
We are looked after very well by the Wagga Club and the Motel at which we usually stay

FAGAN PARK, GALSTON, NSW (Club Run) - 28th June 2009
It is one of lifes pleasures to take a leisurely drive to Fagan Park, Galston and then relax and enjoy a picnic lunch.
Fagan Park is approx 55 hectares and is the home of Netherby Homestead, the Fagan's family home.
The park also has picnic, BBQ facilities and a childrens playground. You may also take short bushland walks and there are large open grassed areas as well.
Meeting point is McDonalds at Parramatta located on the corner of Victoria Road and Church Street. Departure is 9.30 AM Sharp. If Members find the meeting point in Parramatta inconvenient they may proceed directly to Fagan Park and meet the main group at the gates. Parking is available at a reasonable cost of $4.00 per car.

NORTH HEAD, MANLY, NSW (Club Run) - 26th July 2009
North Head is the home of the National Artillery Museum. There are picnic facilities with a free car park. North Head contains a Cafe, Walks, Monuments as well as the Museum. North Head is renowned for its spectacular views of Sydney Harbour back to the city. An entry fee applys and there are concessions.
Meet at McDonalds Parramatta, cnr Victoria Road and Church Street.
We depart on the dot of 9.00 AM
All Holden Display Day. (Club Run) - 2nd August 2009
All Holden Day at Hawkesbury Showground located in Clarendon NSW.
A swap meeting will be conducted on Saturday 1st August 2009 and Sunday 2nd August 2009.
This year celebrates 60 years of Custom & Modified Holdens and the display day, event shirt and goodie bag will reflect this theme.
The event usually attracts over 700 Holden Vehicles of all descriptions.

The day usually celebrates a significant milestone in Australia's motoring history.

BURWOOD SPRING FESTIVAL SHOW & SHINE (Club Run) - 20th September 2009
The club hasn't officially attended this event for some years although some members have done so individually.
This year the Burwood Spring Show'N'Shine at Butwood Park is again on our calendar.
Ian Young has entry forms and they are required to enter. Entries must be in organisers hands by 21st August if we want to park as a club.
Entry is $5.00 with a further $5.00 if you want to be judged. Most vehicles arrive between 7.00 and 9.30 AM and our Events Director will advise assembly details shortly.
The event is usually interesting as there are a variety of vehicles in attendance
Activities occur all day at the park.
There are plenty of cosy eateries and cafes adjacent or bring your own fare and just enjoy our company.

ANGLICAN RETIREMENT VILLAGE CASTLE HILL NSW (Club Run) - 17th October 2009
The Anglican Retirement Village has invited the club to display at their 50th Anniversay Celebrations.
The day will feature stalls and bands, in fact a huge day of celebrations.

It would be great to see all of our members attend on this special day.

The Village has more than 1800 residents and most are very active.
A great opportunity to inspect your next residence!

ILLAWARRA FLY TREETOP WALK (Club Run) - 18th October 2009
This spectacular journey takes us to Robertson NSW in the Southern Highlands and near the Illawarra Escarpment.

The walk is about 10 minutes out of Robertson at Knight's Hill right at the edge of the Escarpment. The walk will take us to the edge of the forest fall line and offers inspiring views over the valley to Lake Illawarra and the Southern Pacific Ocean.
Spectacular views are also experienced from the crest of the Walkway's spiralling tower, 45 metres above the forest floor. This natural attraction is a "must see" experience.

The Walkway itself is set 25 metres above the ground and is 500 metres of elevated walkway featuring two cantilevered arms.

The walkway complex offers as self guided 1.5Km walk with interpretive signage to identify highlights.
Food and Beveridges are available as are Arts and Crafts and a Souvenir Shop.
There is indoor seating for 110 as well as an outdoor area seating 100.

Meeting place: Service Centre, Pheasant's Nest - Southbound.
Time: 8.30 AM in time for a cuppa.
Cost: Entry to Walkway $22.00 Adults, $20.00 Seniors.

CLUB ANNUAL DISPLAY DAY, BURWOOD, NSW (Club Run) - 29th November 2009
The Display Day actually falls on the 61st Anniversary of the 48-215.

Our display starts at 9.00 AM with entrants arriving from 8.00 AM and gates close at 11.30 AM.

Venue again is Burwood Park, Burwood NSW, with entry from Comer Street. Club Members will be on hand to guide you.

Admission is a $2.00 donation.

No catering is available this year, so please bring a picnic lunch or there are many cafes, restaurants and take ways close at hand.

As with previous years, this display is open to all grey engine powered Holdens both standard and modified from 48-215's and every model up to and including the EJ.

You do not need to be a member of a club to enter. Just come and join the fun.
CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON (Club Run) - 6th December 2009
Again our Christmas Luncheon is presented at the Blacktown RSL Club, Second Ave (off Sunnyholt Road) Blacktown NSW.

Lunch is a buffet, all you can eat, and the cost of very reasonable.
You are guaranteed lots of fun, friendship and conviviality, so members, do come along and catch up with us all.

NRMA MOTORFEST (Club Run) - 26th January 2010
This is an annual trek into Sydney for the day. It is always enjoyable as there is so much activity in the city on Australia Day. You'll certainly find something to do!
Entry forms should have been returned directly to the otganisers and it was a case of first in, best dressed.
There's no reason why you should not come to town and catch up with Club Members. This is a day when many of our country members like to meet our metropolitan members for some reminiscing.
You will be advised direct by NRMA of the success of your appliacation to enter by mid December, so don't panic if the've heard nothing ptior to that time.
PICNIC AT ANGLE PARK, CHIPPING NORTON NSW (Club Run) - 7th February 2010
This is the alternative run for those members not attending the Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair at Oberon.
All welcome; there are coin operated barbeques available.
Directions: At the roundabout on Governor Macquarie Drive Chipping Norton turn right into Abingdon Street.
Take the first street right which is Ascot Drive and follow it to the gates of Chipping Norton Lakes; turn left after entering.

HIGHLANDS STEAM & VINTAGE FAIR (Club Run) - 19th February 2010
We will be attending this event again in 2010. Oberon NSW is located in the Central Tablelands about 2 1/2 hours from Sydney.

The event covers three days and has a range of activities to keep you occupied yet gives plenty of time to look at exhibits we don't often see, and enjoy the village and countryside surrounding Oberon.
